We are excited that our new Eco-Cabin is now being constructed on site and is scheduled to be available for guests from late November.
The self-sufficient one bedroom Eco-Cabin is about
300m from the house and will be accessed by your own golf cart.
The Ridge Eco-Cabin will become your “Secret place to slow down” designed for couples wanting a unique rural escape. The cabin combines luxury, privacy and an up close to nature experience – with spectacular views.

COOL OFF AT A RIVER SWIMMING SPOT
Rocky Crossing is just such a spot. Situated on Barrington West Road, it is approximately 15 km from The Ridge.
Toilets are available.
On your way there, a big bonus is the scenic view of the Bucketts Mountains from the western side. The best time for photos is after midday.
To get there, turn left from The Ridge’s entrance onto Thunderbolts Way and drive west, through Barrington village and after crossing the Barrington bridge turn left onto Barrington West Road and drive about 8km to reach Rocky Crossing.
Caution: Be wary of high water hazards and fast flowing water after rain.

EXPLORE WORLD HERITAGE WILDERNESSThe Gloucester Falls walking track is a short and easy 1.8km loop walking track suitable for most ages and fitness levels with waterfall views, scenic lookouts and birdwatching opportunities which makes for a great family day trip.

from The Ridge, via the Gloucester Tops Road.
The walk is a. Allow 1 to 1½ hours for the walk. The track leads through sub-alpine woodlands of snow gums to Andrew Laurie lookout where you can gaze across Gloucester River, and rugged tree-lined gorges to the Mountaineer peak in the east. A second lookout offers scenic vistas of the picturesque Gloucester Falls where the river plunges over the plateau to the valley below. The twin drops are breathtaking after rain. Look out for the eastern water dragons often seen basking on rocks around the streams during summer.
