Our Barrington Tops National Park rainforests are part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area; the most extensive strip of diverse rainforest anywhere on earth.

You can explore the rainforest on one of the park's many walking tracks, like the Honeysuckle Forest track, the Rocky Crossing walk or the Antarctic Beech Forest track. 

Try the exhilarating thrill of white-water kayaking, mountain biking and abseiling.

Or take a scenic drive and maybe stop off and taste some the local boutique wines.

We spent the weekend in this beautiful location, it was absolutely pouring rain 90% of the time and it was still so wonderful. The perfect little getaway with our dog. Due to the weather, we didn't get to explore much at all, but the welcome party of curious cows was a very entertaining surprise. They gathered all around our car as we were three quarters along the gravel driveway on our day of arrival. They just had a good sticky beak before slowly continuing on their merry way! 

The cabin itself was perfect. Had everything anyone would need, plus beautiful views. You really do feel like you're on top of the world there. The foggy, rainy weather actually gave the location a very fantasy world feel to it, which made it extra cosy!! 

The property managers are fantastic and were super quick in responding if we had a question! 

We've already recommended this lovely spot to many friends, and we would love to visit again! :)

The house is amazing.

Sitting on top of the hill, the fresh early morning breeze on the face definitely woke us up as we watched the fog drown the township below. The sounds of the birdlife were meditative, the gentle hum of the cows in the distance….mesmerizing.

We had stunning panoramic views of the property, staying at a very spacious venue. Dan’s instructions were great, easy to find the property. He also provided detailed instructions about everything you needed to know. There was also a large fire pit so we had a beautiful fire going, and a sunset barbeque. Very well stocked kitchen in terms of appliances and cookware - so you have the option to bake and cook large meals with ease.

There were quite a few activities to do in the area. We did the Buccan Buccan scenic walk and drive from The Ridge House. There’s also a great winery 10 mins from the property run by a really charismatic local called Gloucester River Wines which was one of the highlights of the trip.

The entire place was extremely quiet and peaceful, so definitely recommend for a refresh. We took both our dogs there, who had an absolute ball.

Great place to stay. Amazing view and plenty of wildlife to see. Being north facing it gets the sun all day so you get to watch the sunrise and sunset.

Cabin is awesome. Everything you need and very surprised how warm it was inside for Winter.  Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

We loved our stay at The Ridge House. It's a spectacular spot to enjoy nature and relax. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful and quiet. The house is very comfortable and has everything you could need. The bath with a view was wonderful. We were lucky to enjoy great weather while we were there. In the morning there was a stunning blanket of fog which we could watch travel across the land like a river. At night we had clear skies while sitting around the fire pit and we could see millions of stars. Just beautiful! Highly recommend a stay here.

The Ridge Eco Cabin was truly a place for us to relax and wind-down for the weekend. 
Arriving on the Friday, we were able to enjoy the scenery from the deck, and get to know our surrounds, including views of the grazing cows and sheep in nearby paddocks, and the mountain range. 
The kitchen had a full suite of utensils, pots and pans, so we could cook up a dinner together and enjoy the evening by the fire. 
Despite feeling away from any hustle & bustle at the ridge, a venture to town is less than a 10 minute drive. Gloucester has some great shops in town - we devoured a toastie and coffee from The Common. Highly recommend! 
We visited Faulls Ridge winery which is nearby, and the owner was an amazing hostess, sharing family stories while we enjoyed wine tasting over a cheeseboard. 
Our most special moment was at sunset at the Cabin, where my partner set up a picnic rug near the fire pit and proposed. The intimacy to have the space to our own and enjoy the moment was truly magic and something we will never forget. 
Before we returned home on the Sunday, I enjoyed a sublime morning bath. The views from the bath are second to none, and you can bask in the natural daylight while relaxing in the tub. 
We will definitely be returning and can’t wait to tell our friends and family to visit, too!

We had the most amazing long weekend in this little gem. We stayed in the cabin and it definitely exceeded all of our expectations. The place is spacious, has a view to die for, and although you’re only a few minutes away from the shops, you feel like you’re the only ones on planet earth (which is exactly what we wanted).

We had the most beautiful skies filled with stars and sat outside at the bonfire. We literally mentioned how beautiful the place is a Zillion times during our stay! would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away, enjoy nature and explore surroundings!

The town is super cute and you’ve got the national parks near by definitely worth exploring. Even the drive to Gloucester tops is breathtaking! We cannot wait to come back!!!

We had a fabulous short break with friends over 3 rainy days at The Ridge house. When we walked in the door and started unpacking our stuff, we were discussing when we could book another stay we were so impressed with the facilities.

The house is even better than the photos, the view is spectacular, the elevated location couldn't be better, just a very short drive to town, but far enough away to feel totally private and relaxed.

The kitchen is really well equipped, wifi worked well and so did Netflix. Dan was great to communicate with and there was plenty of info on hand to assist during our stay. We're definitely going back!
